Zara's skirt is under fire as it resembles a traditional skirt worn by people in Asian countries

The checkered mini skirt was accused of cultural appropriation but many were quick to judge and criticized the fast-fashion company because the garment looked very similar to a lungi, or lungyi, longyi, sarong, etc. Skirts that are traditionally worn by people in India and other South and Southeast Asian countries. I don't see the skirt as cultural appropriation as it looks like any other checkered/plaid skirt out of there.
