Makeup artist accused of cultural appropriation for wearing a 'Nigerian gele'

Patrick Starr is being accused of cultural appropriation for wearing what he called "turban" and fans were very upset for also incorrectly labeling the headpiece as a turban when it looks more like a gele. The Nigerian gele is worn to weddings and special events and usually match their traditional attire or are in the same pattern. To me, it does look much more like a gele rather than the turban so I understand why Nigerians were offended by it. Patric Starr should have been more careful when labeling the elaborate headpiece.
