JLo collaborated with Italian label Dsquared2 and instantly controversy arose because of the theft of cultural heritage. Native American groups argued it was most certainly cultural appropriation and were disappointed in the designers who are Canadian as they should have known better being familiar with such sensitivities. I do agree that this is cultural appropriation as the patterns and overall design are part of a cultural heritage which have a deep meaning to an entire group of people and should not be used to add an "edgy touch" to a fashion line.
