About Me
Ever since I was a little girl, fashion, putting outfits together, and helping others with wardrobe advice has been my passion. Throughout high school, I made sure to look for Universities that offered a field of studies in the fashion industry to achieve my dreams of pursuing a career out of something I truly enjoy and love. This passion carried me through my education at Dominican University where I'm currently working towards finishing a Fashion Merchandising and Business Administration degree. At Dominican, I have been given amazing resources and opportunities that have helped me strengthen my professional skills and better educate my knowledge in the fashion and business field.
Throughout my years at Dominican, I have been highly involved in our Fashion Club meetings and activities as well as taken important roles at our annual Fashion Show such as being a dresser backstage and modeling student's designs. Fall of 2018, I took advantage of Dominican's study abroad program and spent a semester studying the history of fashion and British life and culture in London, England. It has been the best, most impactful, and learning experience of my life thus far and for this, I am very grateful. In addition to opportunities I have obtained thanks to Dominican, I was also able to get an internship at a local boutique in Oak Park called Trends. There, I learned many new skills and learned how to apply them. I had the opportunity of professional growth as I was offered a management position as well as a visual merchandising position. There's certainly yet more to learn, yet more problems to solve, and yet more to build.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy shopping resale to help towards my sustainable goals and share my love for fashion and styling in my blog on Instagram where I create content for fashion lovers.
My specialties include quickly learning new skills, excellent customer service, problem-solving, design appealing merchandise displays, eye for detail, knowledgeable of brands and current trends, a strong sense of style, leadership, time management, multitasking, and fluency in Spanish.
