Country singer is criticized for wearing a Vietnamese dress

Kacey Musgraves is being criticized for wearing an ao dai, a traditional Vietnamese dress, in an inappropriate way, according to many people. It has been found disrespectful to the culture because the tunic had long slits both sides and she was not wearing any pants under exposing her hips and legs. I do see this as cultural appropriation because the historically significant garment is not meant to be worn this way.
