Musician wore a Native American headdress for a cover of a magazine, "Elle UK." The cover quickly started conversation as people found it disrespectful as the headdress is a sacred garment worn by Native American chiefs and warriors. I also believe this was a cultural appropriation as they did not recognize the symbolic meaning behind a sacred head piece. However, Pharrell apologized by saying, "I respect and honor every kind of race, background, and culture. I am genuinely sorry."
